Costs for the diagnosis and treatment of high cholesterol are classified in the ‘endocrine, metabolic, nutritional and immunity disorders.
As high blood cholesterol is of concern as a risk factor for cardiovascular disease its estimated $199 million expenditure and total cardiovascular disease expenditure including high blood cholesterol expenditure, is estimated to be $3,919 million. |
